CONSTITUENCY CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES BY DR. CLEMENT C. BLAY
I greet you all the sitting MP, Council of Elders, Constituency Executives, and branch executives of Ellembele NDC.
It has become very important at this point to clear the air on issues surrounding my campaign in Ellembele NDC.
First, the directive was issued by the Chairman of the party for each candidate to start his or her campaign as soon as a form is picked or bought, and this is not against the guidelines governing the elections with subsequent clarification from the Ellembele constituency and the region as well.
Unfortunately, attempts to carry out the campaign has been characterized by alleged and reflecting attempts by certain individuals in the constituency executive council of Ellembele to put fear in the branches, to the extent of alleged issuance of threats of some branch executives.
I am calling on the branches to ignore conduct that contrary to the directive issued by the National Chairman and regard my campaign activities as legal.
I pray all stakeholders as well to add their voice to calls through letter and voices to make the Ellembele Constituency Ellections Committee open and public to ensure fairness and transparency in the whole process.
I am hopeful in the face of reality on the grounds, that we have won already and so the various branches manage the fear, uncertainties and the threats until the announcement of our victory.
