Hello everyone! I hope all is well. It is a mixed feeling because the excitement about the Ghana month is gradually fading away. The month of March is slowly grinding to a successful end. All the same, we still celebrate Ghana and its rich cultural heritage all year round. Another cyclic event of Ghana’s independence day, will be with us next year 2024.
This week I want to share with you , how you can build your capacity. Capacity is said to be the capability to perform or produce. While build on other side means, develop and grow. Thus the topic, Building Capacity, Becoming Irresistible. It was one sunny afternoon, when I decided to engage learners to discuss, the history of some ethnic groups. As exciting as it will be. Since most of them are from different ethnic background. You know how it will be, when everyone wants to tell about their rich cultural background. (We save that for another day).
The epic center of this piece of writing, was when a learner look at me and said, ” Sir, you look small” I capitalized on the pronouncement. Not offended though but as an opportunity to to teach them something very important.
Limiting one’s ability to the physical body, can become an inferiority complex. Capabilities are inherent or born within. It must be the desire of every young person to develop themselves. Growing to a degree that you fully represent your purpose on earth. The abilities of man, are far beyond the the physical body. The talent that God gave to mankind, is not limited to the outward looks. How then do we build ourselves ?
1. Transformation. Make up your mind that you will be transformed. Not considering where you came from, your skin color, your height or any other physical description. It is becoming the best version of yourself. To the extent that, Men will always want your service. This will require discipline in reading books, learning from mentors, desisting from groups and things that will not help you. This is what makes you global.
It is so surprising to my learners, the degree of impact I made in their lives. Yet, comparing the physical body is no match. Let us draw some inspiration from the scriptures. Mark 1:35-37 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
Jesus Christ always hide to pray (building himself) to be transformed. The day he was finally revealed was amazing. The ending statement of the scripture says, all Men seek you. Amazing, how you become irresistible when you have built capacity. Rise above the limitations of the flesh, build yourself up in God, in learning and in your desired field of discipline. Appreciate what you have, work on yourself and become better. Until we’re there, we’re not yet there. So keep working.
