Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum, Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South Constituency, Hon. Ernest Ofosu, the District Chief Executive for the same Fanteakwa South District in the Eastern Region, together with other party executives and members toured the constituency to inspect the road networks.
They visited the Osino – Saamang – Juaso road where the contractor is working on the gutters. They advised the citizenry to cooperate with the contractor to have the roads fixed in the shortest possible time.
For the road that links Osino through Dwenase, Hemang, Bokame to Bosuso, the contractor seemed to have done almost 90% and just awaiting the bitumen surfacing. Work is speedily ongoing for the Osino town road to be also tarred.
Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum and Hon. Ernest Ofosu were pleased with the rate of performance of the contractor and urged them well even as the foreman assured them that the Osino – Hemang stretch would be ready by the end of February, 2023.
Background
The member of Parliament, Hon Kofi Okyere Agyekum together with the DCE, Hon. Ernest Ofosu had consistently complained bitterly about the state of the constituency/district’s road network.
However, they have used several platforms to assure the citizenry of their interventions towards providing a bitumen surfaced roads in the constituency or district.
Though the citizenry have had enough patience for this day, others could not fathom why all road networks in the district or constituency were not tarred but the surrounding districts were enjoying tarred roads. Others began to attack authorities and blame them of doing little or nothing for their road networks.
So the progress on the road construction brings a relief to the member of Parliament, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum a.k.a. Hon. Arafat and his DCE, Hon. Ernest Ofosu as the major problem is about being fixed.
Hon. Ernest Ofosu once said, it would be the greatest legacy in his tenure as DCE if the roads are tarred.
The leaders are now tasked to look at the Krobo zone after the Mumuadu sector.
