The Media is seen as some form of vigilante that guards against the pursuit of self-interest, nepotism, excessive power and corrupt practices. It also serve as source of entertainment. The media or media houses consists of journalists, news anchors, investigative journalists, online presenters, bloggers, radio/TV presenters who serve as personnels in conveying information or news to the public.
There are several media houses in Ghana who convey information on TV, radio and even online. Media personnels in their lives or line of work can move or migrate from their current workstation or media house to a neighbour or another media house. This happens with some reasons. They are, expiration or termination of work contract, the desire of the personnel to work with neighbour media house hence resigning from the current workstation, vice versa.
There are several personnels or media personalities who across the years migrated or moved from their workstations to other media houses. There are the likes of Berla Mundi,a multiple award winning broadcast journalist who was working with EIB network. She hosted the ‘Drive TIme’ show on Starr Fm and also the ‘Late Afternoon Show’ on GHONE TV. After 8 years as a lead presenter,she moved to Media General.
Another media personality is Nana Aba Anamoah. She worked with TV3, a subsidiary of Media General until she resigned and joined EIB network. At TV3, she was the host of ‘Diva Show’ and also a news presenter. When she moved to GHONE,she started by hosting a political show titled ‘State of Affairs’,currently she is the General manager of GHONE.
There are other personalities like Nana Yaa Brefo, Kojo Dickson, Captain Smart, Anita Akuffo, the list continues. All these people moved to other media houses without any controversies or whatsoever, so what is different with Felicity Agyemang, aka Nana Ama McBrown moving from UTV (Despite Media) to Onua TV (Media General) ?
The actress/presenter has received many backlashes especially from her ex colleagues Abena Moet, Ola Michael and Kwame Nkrumah Tikese. They criticised and made derogatory remarks about her on live radio, stating that she is ungrateful, disloyal and so on.
