News broke that five suspects had bolted from the Asesewa police station cell on Friday 17th March, this year.
The suspects were allegedly said to have requested for water to flash their excreted waste which was emitting a lot of bad odour in the cell.
The lone officer (name yet to be known) who was on duty at the time managed to bring the water for them to flash the toilet and upon reaching the cell gate, he opened to hand the water to the inmates but the suspects pushed the cell gate with brute force that shoved the office from the gate and managed to escape.
Rumor has it that, there were a total of nine inmates but four decided to stay back and face the law.
Residents who tried to arrest them noted that one of the suspects allegedly picked a knife from the police station and threatened to stab anyone who got in their way.
